Fabric bundle of 40 18-inch by 22-inch fat quarters from the Quail Run collection by designer Kansas Troubles for Moda Fabrics. Quail Run features a lovely floral print blooming with all the rich colors of a KT palette. Coordinating vines, berries, and geometrics add movement and depth to this collection. I enjoy watching the coveys of quail around our home each year, the mamas skittering across the driveway with a trail of chicks following closely behind. When I was young, my dad raised and trained bird dogs for hunting pheasant and quail. My brother and I enjoyed helping him feed and train the dogs at the farm each evening. We all knew when quail/pheasant season arrived; Dad would be with his hunting buddies and their dogs, enjoying long walks through the trees, brush, and wildflowers. At the end of the season, they all gathered for a huge potluck dinner with bacon-wrapped quail as the featured dish. Quail Run captures those fond childhood memories of time spent with my dad and his love of nature and conservation.
